This month I have been given the task of trying out a few of the great products available at Holland's Country Clothing - Lucky Me!
This flat cap is waterproof, so it is very practical out in the field weather you’re working outside, dog walking, shooting or fishing. It is practical yet stylish too.
I love that a flat cap can be worn all year round, so you can protect yourself from the sun in the summer and keep to dry and warm in the winter.
It is padded inside with a silk lining inside which is really smooth. There are different colours available. It’s made to a really high quality, all of the edges are very tidy.
Inside it has an elegant Forest green silk lining. The cap is good value for money compared to others I’ve seen on the market and this one is of very good quality and will last many years.
The colour is very autumnal which I love, burgundy has to be my personal favourite autumn/winter colour. The detailed buttons make it stand out from other cable knit hats I’ve seen, it adds elegance with the Jack Murphy flag label. The hat is machine washable, which I find very handy as always seem to get dirty!
Other cable knit bobble hats I have, I find that the wind blows straight through to my ears which I find most sensitive working outside in the cold and I find completely fleece lined hats get too warm, this hat has a fleece band inside this hat protects your ears but can help let heat out of the top, as other fleece ones I have I find get too hot so this I find is perfect.
These shooting socks are very warm and a good length, the cable knit style adds extra individuality.
When I first got and tried the socks out I was pleasantly surprised and they stay up well in my wellies as normally I have trouble keeping my socks up particularly in my wellies.
They are cushioned for extra comfort, which really helps, especially with being on your feet all day.
The socks are 42% wool, which is much better for the environment as they are partly made of a renewable product.
I really love the autumnal feel with the colour combination, I have a few shoots coming up so these will keep me very warm!
This jacket oozes glamour with practicality, I personally love pockets particularly as most jeans now do not have any, the pockets on the Harriet can fit my keys and iPhone plus in perfectly. The sleeves have moleskin at the end, which can be rolled down and not visible or can be turned over to reveal the navy moleskin detail; this adds the extra touch of glamour and sophistication. The broach adds extra character to the jacket giving a positively regal look; you can do up the jacket fully for a more practical look or keep it open for a more majestic look showing off the broach also. It also has 5 buttons to do up. The blazer has a coat hook so it can be kept in its pristine condition. You can pair it with a turtle neck or a cable knit jumper (I’ve paired mine with the Jack Murphy cable knit in burgundy), it can be worn with jeans and boots for a casual look or a blouse heels with a skirt or trousers, or however you chose. Its very lightweight, and it has a silk lining too for extra warmth.
I love the colour combination, green is my favourite colour, and the green, navy and raspberry pink brings my favourite colours that autumnal look and elegance. There are other colours available, so you can choose which colour combination fits your style. It’s fitted around the waist to give a feminine and graceful look.
I’ve seen it’s in the January Sale so a perfect time to buy as a present or a as a treat to yourself ready for Christmas outings. I chose a size 10 and generally am a size 8-10, I went for a 10 as I wanted to have a few layers underneath and would say the blazer is very true to size.
P.S. Bill would look great in a Tweed too!
