Holland's are happy to say we are able to offer our normal online service, whilst being especially mindful to cut down on any unnecessary risk.
Any non-family staff members are no longer working on the premises, but we will continue to pay their wages and ensure they are looked after during this period. There will only be two people in the warehouse at any time, maintaining a safe distance and ensuring that extra hand washing and care is taken when undertaking tasks such as packing parcels.
We are able to accept, process and ship all orders as normal.
We can also accept, and process all returns, for refund or exchange.
In light of the difficulties presented by the lockdown we have extended our Returns Period to 90 days. So if your item isn't suitable, you will have ample time to return it when it is safe to do so. Should the lockdown period extend beyond 90 days, we will amend our policy accordingly.
The shipping companies we use, namely Royal Mail and DHL, have adopted safe delivery practises, as follows.
Signing for and receiving items during the Coronavirus outbreak
In order to protect both our people and customers as much as possible, we are minimising contact during delivery. We will not be handing over our hand-held devices to customers to capture signatures but instead log the name of the person accepting the item. Additionally, for all customers where we need to deliver any item that won’t fit through your letterbox, we will place your item at your door. Having knocked on your door, we will then step aside to a safe distance while you retrieve your item. This will ensure your item is delivered securely rather than being left outside.
Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus. From experience with other coronaviruses, we know that these types of viruses don’t survive long on objects, such as letters or parcels. This complements the highly publicised guidance from PHE for people to wash their hands more often than usual using soap and hot water
