Jack Pyke Fieldman Trousers Contrast Green / Large
Bit of an odd fit really. Im a 34-36 waist. I've tried the medium, way too tight and I've purchased the Large, which are probably too large. The fit on the right leg is odd, as the lower trouser zip sits further to the front of the leg than the left leg of the trouser.

Jack Pyke Fieldman Trousers Contrast Green / Large
I bought these pants with the intent to use them at Mammoth Mountain this past weekend. I know they are advertised as summer pants but, as a Californian, I have a very different standard for seasons than someone from the Isles.
First off, I love the look; the aesthetic was what attracted me to them to begin with, as I did not want something overly technical/tactical looking.
The garment is made of a thick chino twill. They have virtually no give in the fabric, which is concerning, considering what a slim fit they are. These were definitely not made for vertical movement, more light hiking on flatlands. A gusset or 5% more elastane would make these considerably more comfortable and dynamic. Stitching was loose in a few finishing points but the overall threading is sturdy. I was also disappointed to find that the dark fabric from the knees down is not reinforced, merely a different color of the same single layer twill; I applied two layers of wax to the lower half and that made them perfectly capable in the snow.
All of these criticisms come with the context that these trousers cost $36, so it’s hardly fair to compare them to my Fjallravens that cost almost seven times as much. For the price, they served admirably and I look forward to using them on future jaunts - I certainly got no shortage of compliments for them.
