Out and About After Lockdown
Hi Everyone, after the year we have just been through let us look forward into Spring and Summer.
We have some great brands to inspire you to enjoy the outdoors in the coming seasons.
So, let us start with Craghoppers. A proud sponsor of the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme, Craghoppers are a Manchester based company offering a range of performance focused clothing.
A company that is committed to producing sustainable and ethical products. Responsible sourcing, social impact programmes, and active conservation and environmental awareness are key to Craghoppers.
The Compresslite V Jacket: This is a great addition to any spring/summer collection. Lightweight - it compresses back into its own stowing sack that is concealed in the pocket when wearing. SmartDry Eco repellent finish protects against a light shower. Fully reversible in a range of funky colours, its like having two jackets in one! The ClimaPlus hollow fibre fill gives this coat a super warmth feel. There is a men’s and women’s version available.
Craghoppers Ladies Kiwi Pro II Trousers: Another wardrobe staple. Hardwearing with Elastane, these trousers are a super fit. Soft to the touch with built in SmartDry ECO technology, these trousers are water repellent and protected against staining. Easy to wash, dry and iron, they are a great pair of practical everyday trousers. There is also a men’s version available.
Craghoppers Galena Ladies Technical Tee Shirt: The most practical garment you can own, especially in white. Dressed up or down a white t-shirt is a must have clothing item and this is one of the best. With a unique built in permanent anti-insect treatment that has been proven to keep bites down by 90%, this is a must have for anyone prone to insect bites. The NosiLife anti-bacterial biocide also combats odours and prevents bacterial build up on the garment. A highly versatile, technical, lightweight item of clothing that ensures you feel great enjoying the outdoors.
I love a pair of long boots and can often be found in my Dublin River Boots. Practical, stylish and unbelievably comfortable. You will not find greater comfort or style than that offered by the calf-length Dublin River Boots III. Wear over jodhpurs or jeans for a classic country look or use them as riding or yard boots; you can rely on their genuine leather upper to be a rugged companion to even the messiest of outdoor activities or tasks.
Another brand I love is the Muck Boot company, which offer more than just wellingtons. Determined to find a solution to keeping their feet warm and dry through the muckiest of muck, The Original Muck Boot Company ® was born.
My go to pair is the Women's Arctic Sport II Tall in Black/Pink because they are so vibrant and make me smile whilst I potter round the garden. Designed for absolute cosiness, these wellingtons have a 5mm neoprene inner for high-performance thermal insulation and a micro fleece lining that is soft against your feet. At the top of the boot, a stretch-fit binding makes them easy to pull on and off, while ensuring that they fit snugly against your calves to keep the cold air out.
I also have a pair of the Women's RHS Muckster II Clogs which I keep by the back door for nipping in and out and often confuse them for my slippers! Lightweight and waterproof they are so handy to have in the home that I am thinking of having a spare pair for when people come round for drinks in the garden.
I do find at this time of year it is not always necessary to wear a coat and so often grab a fleece. The Musto Ladies Corsica 100gm Fleece is ideal for nipping out. A beautifully warm and breathable fleece jumper with powerful Polartec fleece and full-length zip. It also has subtle, yet smart Musto branding on chest and nape of neck.
I love the versatility of the Deerhunter Lady Lightweight Fleece, this soft, elegant fleece keeps you warm and as its so lightweight, it is great to wear as a layer under a jacket or coat for added warmth.
Although Deerhunter® is the right brand for hunters, anglers and others looking for durable and functional hunting and leisurewear it is now introducing pieces that every country lifestyle fashionista likes to have in their collection. Today, the brand is represented in more than 40 markets worldwide, and in 2009 Deerhunter® was granted a royal warrant as a Purveyor to the Royal Danish Court.
The Deerhunter® brand is now in its 36th year and is producing innovative, technological clothing at a great cost to the customer. Building products on long standing experience and on customer satisfaction Deerhunter create but not for creativity’s sake.
The Lady Estelle is a staple of the Deerhunter® brand. Designed for women who need their waterproof jacket to perform when our British summer turns into winter even on a July day! Highly practical, it is waterproof, windproof, and breathable. It features the Deer-Tex membrane which ensures the wearers comfort even in the harshest conditions. Plenty of pockets make this jacket great for a multitude of activities, such as dog walking, going to the stables etc. A flattering feminine cut makes this jacket classy even in its practicality and never looks out of place sat in a beer garden or walking in the Lakes and has become my firm favourite this last month.
So, there you have it, my out and about after lockdown wardrobe. Until the next time have fun and stay safe.
